Blessings God provided at the point of salvation
11. We receive the efficacious grace of God (Eph. 2:5)
a. The eternal security of our salvation is assured by the power of the Holy Spirit (Eph. 4:30)
b. The Holy Spirit assures us of our salvation (Rom. 8:16; 1John 5:5-10)
12. We became the beneficiaries of a Writ of Reconciliation.
a. We were reconciled by God (2Cor. 5:18-19)
b. We Were Reconciled to God (Rom 5:10; 2Cor. 5:20; Eph. 2:14-17)
13. We received the services of the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal defense attorney (1John2:1)
Principle: The Lord Jesus Christ, as our defense attorney, filed a series of legal motions in the Divine Criminal Courtroom of God the Father petitioning God the Father to issue specific judicial writs to remove all criminal charges pending against us and pardon us from the resulting penalties.
14. We became the beneficiaries of a Writ of Particular Redemption.
a. We were redeemed (Greek: ἀγοραζω – agorazo, G59)by being purchased out of the slave market of sin (1Cor.6:20, 7:23; Rev. 5:9)
b. We were redeemed (Greek: ἐξαγοραζω – exagorazo, G1805) from the curse of the law (Gal 3:13, 4:5)
c. We have redemption (Greek: ἀπολυτροσις – apolutrosis, G629) in Christ Jesus (Rom. 3:24)
d. We have redemption through His blood (Eph. 1:7), which typifies Christ’s two deaths on the cross.
e. We were made free by Christ (Gal.5:1)
f. We were removed from under condemnation (Rom. 8:1)
g. The writ of Particular Redemption is a court order issued by God the Father which guarantees our individual salvation in contrast to God’s general offer of redemption (1Pet. 1:18-19)
